    no , they're not..totally different

you must get a windback tool to compress the piston back, DO NOT use anything else or you will need a new caliper if you try to just push the piston back in..

if the 'how-2' isn't clear enough, post up and we'll try to help you out,

Has anyone any idea who sells the tool that actually fits the caliper, or is it a Vx and a need to know thing, I'm really getting sick to the teeth of Vx right now, 3 motor factors and 2 high st sellers and this elusive tool is still not readily available, one offered to order it at £27, but I've not been back to him yet cos I know he's gonna order me a laser one that dont fit.

VV, Snap-on do a set that includes the correct fitting one..either that or send me down your 'laser' one and i'll move the pins over for you to suit....can't say fairer than that..

Thx Mark, that's very generous of you bud, not sure I'll ever be able to justify a Snap It set, a 10mm open end spanner used to cos £9 each over 20 yrs ago, been looking at the hub puller and copper end nut hybrid that one user made up, might have a go at knocking one up myself, went to try Beavis' idea with the clamp last night, but could only see a new caliper being required 10 mins later.

If you want to get the laser one ( avaliable from helfrauds for £20) then i'll mod it for ya..
