    Default Passenger Airbag Question

Is it possible to turn it off? I can on my works Skoda by using the ignition key in a switch in the glovebox. Has the Vec got anything similar?

    Not without a tech2 session.

Some cars however have a transponder chip in the passenger seat that recognises another chip in certain car baby seats though and will automatically switch off if the seat is placed on the front passenger seat.

    Default Resistor

Does anybody know what size resistor to fit to replace passenger seat airbag? I had to take seat out and replace with disability seat thanks to poxy council ruling for taxis.

I would say 4 ohms, but wont be held responsible for anything going pop if you try this.

On tech2 all reading are around 3-5ohms.. anything over 6ohms will flag an open circuit
Plasma's Tech2 services are now partially open and able to provide services

its not a load dropper so a normal 0.25w resistor should be ok i reckon

    Its a 2 Ohm resistor.

Unplug the airbag and put the 2 ohm (1/4 watt is fine) across the loom connections (Not the airbag)

Cheers, the idiots at the council think a swivel seat is more important than airbags.
