    Default

    my discs ,

sat nav disc or c.d. ??

start adjusting as soon as i open the door , without engine etc .

it makes the same noise as my house d.v.d. player when skipping etc .

i assume the car d.v.d. or c.d. starts moving before the engine , so it is ready as quick as possible for when you drive away .

only my guess and thoughts on it .

Saves you having to wait for the maps to load.

    Yup as stated,
As soon as you unlock the doors, the sat nav spools up so that it is ready for you to put in your destiation.

I have a cd70 in my cav, and it only turns on / spools-up when I start the car.
It can take the GPS upto a minute to initialise, before I can start to put in my destination.
