strange happenings

yesterday while driving the car cut out and wouldnt start then after a few seconds started this was driving in the rain with lights heaters wipers front and back and also the rear demister on

now the blower is stopping and starting working

also at times when the blower is on the engine revs from 750rpm to 1000rpm at standstill turn all the electrics off and it drops back down

any ideas ??

could that be your battery? it could be increasing the revs to supply more power to the battery from the alternator?
