    Default Water pump destroyed cambelt

Had my cambelt done 15,000 miles ago and the water pumps seized up and took the cambelt with it. Luckily the only other thing that broke were the fingers on the lifters otherwise my car would've been sent to the scrappy. Just to buy the new fingers they're £20+vat from dealership or I can buy a set for £304, would it be safe to use the ones undamaged or would it be a good idea to replace them all?

    Default

Thats why you should always change the water pump at the same time as the cambelt (if its cam belt driven).

I would just change the damaged ones but inspect the others for cracks just to be sure.
Now I need a turbo to keep up!
