    Default Droning sound

Hi, I've noticed a droning sound don't know exactly how to describe it but its like a humming with breaks seems like its coming from one of the wheels.

I can hear it clearly on smooth flat roads, Anyone know if this is a common problem or is it my tyres??

Wheel bearing. Classic symptoms. If it's a rear one, I have a brand new one going spare.

Check the arb bushes as mine was clonking away when i got it if i went over anything bigger than a fag paper. Checked the bushes and noticed one of the back ones was wore down so wrapped tape round the antiroll bar and tightened it up to check and problem solved.

Might be your tyres worn on the inner edges as well...

Agree with above - it could be unevenly worn tyres, or if not then it can be wheel alignment, my rear wheels had too much negative camber, caused a droning sound and wore the tyres on the inner edges - had the camber corrected but still have the droning 'cos of the tyres.....worth checking out before you start fiddling with wheel bearings / suspension.....

Its was the tyre in the end, my passengers side rear tyre was worn on the inner edge and was making the sound i presume. Had just this one tyre changed to see if it was this causing the main noise.

The noise is almost gone well its not as loud and clear as it was before the tyre change, Problem I've got is the noise is still there but really quiet now and have to have all windows closed and radio off to really hear it now.

Should i change the drivers side rear tyre aswell?? theres no inner edge wear on that tyre
