Finally found a set of signum rear leather door cards to go with everything else I've already fitted (I bought a hatchback interior and managed to get everything to fit except the rear door cards and rear bolsters).
Basically I'd been emailing people on Ebay that were selling leather interiors for either Vec estates or Signums and asking if they'd split them up. Of course everyone basically told me to go forth and multiply except one guy who was a breaker who didn't seem keen but didn't say no. Several nagging emails later over a week or so and he finally gave in and sold me the rear door cards seperately.
The door cards themselves were pretty much shot, but the leather section on the passenger side was pretty much perfect and the drivers side one had two very small holes in the leather that I can live with for now until I can repair them. When he said I could have them for £40 I bit his arm off.
They arrived today...
Drivers side with two small holes in the leather and a faint scratch mark at the bottom of the leather (both repairable easily when I get round to it) but the door card's mullered.
The passenger side one, leather perfect, again doorcard damaged.
Seperating the door card sections.
And the passenger one had obviously been left in the rain or something and had been damp for some time in its life and was seperating from the door card at the bottom (as well as stinking of damp). So I decided to strip the leather off, strip my door card and re-cover mine with the leather (after Amy had hand washed it and dried it to get rid of the damp smell and clean it up).
My original door card.
My old passenger side card with the leather insert replacing the original cloth one. Lots of spray glue and a few small nuts and bolts holding it in place.
And my old passenger door card completed.
Stripping the fabric off my old drivers door card.
And the leather transferred onto it (still a little slack in this pic).
And fitted.
All in all a blooming hard way of doing it, but for the money I've paid out I'm happy. One of them is now perfect and the other needs a couple of tiny holes repaired when I get round to it. Every stage in this leather interior has been a nightmare and damned hard work, but its worth every blister and ache when I look in the car.
Last stage still to come, we're still looking to see if we can somehow re-cover the old bolsters with the leather from the hatchback ones. I'm convinced there's enough leather but it may need a bit of re-adjustment (nothing new there)
I'll be selling a near perfect pair of hatchback rear leather door cards with rear blinds in them shortly as I'm no longer going to adapt them and they're no use to me.
