    Default New tyres ordered

Not sure if i've asked this already.
Got new tyres ordered for friday. Currently running 215/50/17 but need to change 2 front tyres as down to 2mm. Have ordered 225/45. But is it best to fit them on the front or rear. Cannot afford to replace all 4 at the mo so will replace the rears next month.

Up to you really. Just keep them on the same axle.
Now I need a turbo to keep up!

I would suggest you swap the current worn rear tyres, 215/50R17, to the front
This will wear these out next

ye this was my plan but someone advisedd as it was a front wheel drive car and obviously steering on the front, then put the new tyres on the front.
Will speak to the garage 2moro

not according to the top gear testing done in wet conditions,.. apparently far safer to have more tread on your rear tyres

Other way round, maximum tread to the rear as this axle has no steering and to prevent oversteer

Put new ones on the rear as the fronts will wear quicker than you can fit another matching pair.
