Well well well, just drove over to Tumbridge Wells (The Royal mind you) and on the way back I thought I would liven up the drive in the Siggy...
Its fair to say the trip back to Farnham didn't take long... and on the last stretch of road I caught up with a lovely Jaguar XK8 that was belting it down the road.
I thought to myself... if only the lights turned red now... and they did
Now I wasn't sure what spec the Jags were as it was on a 1999 plate but with a new exhaust fitted and in nice nick. The lights went green and I went for it... he was going to cruise off then realised I was wanting to play (If we were side by side he would of been left behind).
Anyway, after letting off and letting him put his foot down its fair to say he couldn't get away. But whether it was the delay in flooring it again, the light wetness of the road causing the front tyres to spin, or not (I will give the Jag benefit of the doubt) he did pull away ever so slightly!
A lot of guys on here have slated the EDS remaps saying the results are disappointing...
I was told to be looking at a 0-60 figure of around 5.5 seconds (295bhp and 500Nm). After racing my mates Evo 8 (standard) and gaining on him I knew the map had made a difference... but now after coming home and looking up the stats of the Jag with a 0-60 of 5.2 seconds... I think its fair to say that the map is well worth its money!
www.eds-motorsport.de - buy it direct guys, I cannot recommend EDS enough! So tempted to upgrade to the 315bhp and 550Nm setting now lol... where did I put that IDF remap kit...
