    i had standard bulbs, poor
i bought uprated bulbs, no better
bought a hid kit, easy to fit, no cutting of wires etc, just plugs into bulb plug, much better, the difference is night and day tbh

taffy bhoy is right. Xenon is the way forward. It really is a massive difference.

Lot of unlit roads round here, too. I did the poor headlight mod, raised the beam off the floor, fitted xenon upgrade bulbs from ebay seller magichoop, sorted. I may try Osram Nightbreakers at some stage, but the main issue is usually getting the beam reset off the floor. HiD is an option, not a necessity, and likely to be a questionable option unl;ess you want to keep swapping bulbs back for the MoT.

What would be the issue with the MoT if you had a HiD kit fitted ? As long as the alignment is ok, surely it's not a problem ? Only asking because I'm also looking at upgrading lighting - dark nights, country roads, standard lights on my 05 Veccy are awful.... :-(

Im with you on that !
Cant really be bothered in the cost of Hid due to the potential MOT issues.

Ive been running Osram Nightbreakers in the headlight & full beam and really are a vast improvment ! had them in for probably 18months now.

    A very good option IMO.
