    Default Thoughts on these bulbs?

    Hi guys,

I've been wanting to upgrade my bulbs in my headlights so that I get a nice bright white effect rather than dull yellow look.

Can anyone tell me if they have tried these bulbs or if they can give any recommendations to replace standard bulbs.

    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/H7-477-MET...ht_4698wt_1413

I'm not looking to upgrade to HIDs just yet... so wanna get something that'll be as close as poss.

    Thanks

Never tried but in previous cars before I started getting hids I used to buy philips diamondvision. Fairly dear for normal bulbs but in my eyes as near as hid you can get without actually buying a hid kit.

Probably not what you want to hear mate, I wouldn't waste my money. Have tried various high output bulbs in the past promising white or pale blue output. They have all been a lovely yellow disappointment. Save the money and put it towards a HID kit. You will not be disappointed, they are worlds apart.

Is headlight level ok, always seems to start out too low. I did the mod to beam height, then tried some xenon upgrade bulbs from an ebay seller I'd used before, magichoop, had no probs since. Do not intend fitting HiD at this time as I can't be doing with keep taking them on/off for the MoT and mine are quite adequate now. Do intend trying Osram Nightbreakers at some stage.

I recently fitted Osram Nightbreaker Plus bulbs as they seem about the brightest without the hassles of HIDs. They are nice and white and bright (as in you can tell when they're on which I couldn't with standard bulbs ).

I got the Nightbreakers these after having 50% brighter bulbs which blew after being in for quite a few years and I definitely noticed an improvement. If you are moving straight from 'normal' bulbs to something like Osram Nightbreaker Plus bulbs then you'll really notice and appreciate the difference.

I run a set of the Halfords extreme ( £25 each but on bogof )

Have used them for the last 2 years, and had one blow. Pretty good, and a definite improvement on the standard ones.

Thought about HIDS, but knew they'd be illegal as a direct fit and could see the law changing ( as seems to be the case )
