Default One sump plug or two on a VVT.

Just got off the phone from my local stealers, ordering gearbox oil and a new plug---or plugs. See I was convinced there are 2, one on top for putting oil in and one underneath for draining, the guy at vx didnt think so.
Does or has anyone changed there box oil on a 1.8vvt? Really could use someone elses experience here.
He also couldnt tell me how much oil to put in!! arrhhhh! And these guys actually built the car?
    Thanks fellas.

am not familiar with your gearbox but I agree that it would probably have two, most the dealer know sweet FA and need to be told.. I did not bother to change the top one though, just reused the old one.

no drain and no filler ....simples ............draining can be done by removeing the diff pan (you will need a new gasket) but this wont get all the oil out some small amount of oil will remain in the main gearbox case and the rear case ..so to do a full drain you will need to strip it down and get a few gaskets not worth the hassle ..... to fill it you remove the upper breather and fill it via there on the side of the diff there will be a 13mm pug that is the level plug ....takes aprox 1.7L of oil ...but you will prob only get 1L out the diff pan ....good luck

f17 box has no dedicated drain or filler holes.
