    Default Wash, Clay, Polish and Wax

    Just spent the afternoon washing, claying, polishing and waxing the car. First time using clay and am pleased with the results. Here are a couple of pics.

    can some please explain claying as ive seen it mentioned loads of times but never know what it is or involves.

    nice looking shiney car
    what did it look like before
    am i right in saying clay gets rid of any ground in dirt on the car
    i was waxing mine the other day and i kept on feeling little nicks where my cloth seemed to be catching but when i looked their was nothing their

    Nice job mate. Claying is removing contaminants on the paint work, basically making it a nice smooth finish and will stop you rubbing contaminants over the paintwork whilst polishing which will reduce the risk of scratching the paintwork during the polishing process.
