The meguiars 3 stage system works a treat. If you have a dark car try putting a coat of the megs NXT wax on before the 3rd stage carnuba wax. There are better more expensive products out there but the megs and autoglym products are available from most good motor factors.

I use Meguires polish, and either finish off with PS21S wax or as it is winter I tend to use Colinite 476S wax as it is more durable.

Ta much. I was looking at the Meguires products in Hellfords today and wondered as to how good they are. Cheers

I used the Carnuba wax for the first time today. Dead impressed with the results.

as far as polish goes i suggest autoglym super resin polish, aswell as polishing the car it also masks any swirls or scratches, u do need a porter cable though for best results

This could be a never ending thread as each person has their own favourities & proceedures that work for them.

    Rule of (small) thumb:
Metallics, ie Star Silver: Use a sealant eg Poorboys EXP to give optical clarity.
Solid Colours: Blues & Reds: Use a carnauba wax eg, Poorboys Nattys Wax to give a deeper shine.

You have to experiment with allsorts to find the ones that work for you. I know I (still) do.
