you probably have the bigger 381cc injectors already.. take the engine cover off and have a peek under the fuel rail, you will be able to see if the are a light green injectors or the smaller light blue ish coloured injectors.

A how2 is currently being written for this..

I was under the impression that the larger injectors in the later cars are grey in colour? I will have a look at my 06 mitsi turbo injectors tonight to see what colour they are, don't think mine will be the larger ones..

If you do need to change them over and aren't happy to do it, if you come down to me (you're not that far away) I'll chuck them in for you if you want. It's not a massively difficult job, bit fiddly, but ok, I changed mine when I upgraded.

I've been out changing the gearbox oil this morning as i'm off on annual leave. I checked my injectors, they are the blue ones which is interesting as mine is the TD04 turbo - mine is a may 06 car BTW

Change them bud its an easy enough job. I guess the how2 has not been posted yet so will dig out a little guide I sent Phil.

You will need a different map afterwards though, not sure if vx can help you with that for free but an aftermarket remap which will make it so much faster anyway with combination. You will love it.

Here, this is what i sent out to Phil to use, hope it helps until the full How2 is ready with pics..:

You unplug you coils from the the cylinder head and then undo the the fuel rail..

If you have driven the car is past few hours before you do this you will need to push in the bleed valve to depressurize the fuel system.. i did this job in the morning as i wanted a cold engine to work on so had no fuel pressure to be concerned about.

when you have unbolted the fuel rail you will find that a little coolant will escape from the banjo bolt on the left when you remove it, only a little will come out so its nothing to be concerned about. unbolt the two fuel lines the rail, have a cloth handy as little petrol will escape from these but continually.

grab the fuel rail and give it a tug away from the block. this will pull the injectors out of the block, do not pull too far as the injectors are still connected to their loom... now unplug the wiring connectors from the injectors and then rotate the fuel rail so the injectors are pointing over the block. The injectors are held into the rail with a sliding clip, use some pliers and pull this clips away then pull out the injectors, make a note of which side the connectors point to.

insert the new injectors into the fuel rail and put the sliding clips back on and then rotate the fuel rail back towards the head. line up the injectors in the plastic cups that sit in the head, reconnect the loom connections if you haven't already, then firmly push the fuel rail so that the injectors are nicely seated into the cups in the head.

reconnect the two fuel lines and coolant pipe, rebolt down the rail securing bolts/nuts and the reseat the coils etc..

That should just about do it.. be sure the rubber O rings are in good shape before using them though, you can buy spare for not much money from the dealers if you need to.. The plastic cups that they sit in will sometimes come out of the head with the old injectors, do not worry if they do, just wipe them down and check their O rings are goon and reinsert them.
