Default AAAAARGH! Why can't I do it?! SMD woes!

Managed everything so far in my SMD conversion but just can't seem to do the passenger window switch cluster, it's like the SMD's are welded on with bell metal rather than solder, any tips from anyone who's done it?

Sick of looking over at it during night driving and it still being orange when everything else is blue and red!

How did you do it mate? The rest I've managed to heat up the solder with the iron then "flip" up the edge at the same time, heat of the other side whilst gripping with tweezers, but it just doesn't work with this one, I've already broken one switch

Well, I've been trying the soldering braid, then after burning holes in my middle and index fingers I lost patience, I think I basically stabbed the smd's to death lol!

They came off in chunks, cleaned up the contacts and added fresh solder, works a treat so I'm happy!

Just the dreaded GID and roof console to do, really wish someone would do the GID for me (hint hint )
Roof console should be simple enough, 1 l.e.d short though so will order some more and hopefully get my conversion finished this week
