All down to personal choice mate. With aftermarket you can upgrade by installing amps, subs etc. You can do it with the OE headunit but tbh aftermarket always sounds better.

I put Alpine in along with amps and sub and my neighbours love it

    Budget is another factor too.

Aftermarket, to me, is always the best option as upgrading speakers in doors too is always worth it.

ive allways gone aftermarket but on this car i have cd70 navi and sound is ok comparied to a cd30 and i have the bonus of a satnav as well a amp and sub can be fitted using the high input on the amp and branching off your rear left and right speakers this might be a option next year for me as its a nice easy and not a bad price mod as ive had amps and subs in my car in the past and love the sound

With a CD70 and Colour screen, you will have full functionality of the colour screen etc - Radio Stations, MP3 Tracks, CD Tracks Sat nav etc.

With an aftermarket head, you will mainly only have the functionality of the board computer, temp, time etc. You will loose the satnav on the car's screen.

I have only ever seen the Alpine headunits with an interface box to allow use of the main screen to display radio/mp3 data etc, but even that is pretty limited.

I took out my alpine headunit and put in a CD70... Its alot nicer finish, and although the sat nav is not the best, it does a pretty good job.
