Default 3.2v6 clutch slipping, what do i replace?

    Hi there,

My revs are jumping from 2000 up to 4500-5000 when i plant my right foot, so do i just replace the clutch? Do i buy a CSC with it? And do i replace the dmf too? Canny expensive to replace the lot so just wanted someones opinion who knows what they talking about before i go spending any hard earned cash,

    Thanks in advance, andy

Do u have a dmf in the police history?

Would change clutch kit inc clutch slave cylinder. Let them check the dmf when its apart if u trust the garage to decide for u

Difficult one. Id defiantly replace the plate and the slave, but unless you can defiantly afford to, I wouldnt worry about the DMF unless its rattling. BTW you can actually change the DMF in the 3.2 for a solid flywheel from (think its) the X20CE according to Total Vauxhall.

As mentioned already if the dmf isn't rattling just replace the clutch and csc. I have just replaced the clutch on my dti and left the dmf and I have no problems

Quick update, i've just bought clutch with slave off fleabay £230 delivered. Next stage is fibding someone to fit it, some have said its easier to take engine out, especially with the size of the v6 lump, some say you can just undo subframe and get at it from underneath. I'll prob let the garage decide but tell them what i know from what i've read.

Any approximate ideas on what labour would be on this job? Like what have you paid in the past for this job?
