Default lost keys for vectra im in the dog house

couldnt find the keys this morning looked everywhere for them i have a feeling ive dropped them out side when i was bringing the dog food in out of the boot and someone has picked them up so wife was snarling at me i just had to change the front door locks on the house and now thinking what to do about the car
ive been reading and i think i can turn the key off with my opcom so question is if i turn the key off so at least if anyone finds the keys they wont be able to drive off if i do find the keys or they get given in (which in this day carnt see happening) will i be able to turn the imoboliser on the key back on or is the key useless once its been turned off with opcom

£60 seems a lot for a key and fob but i suppose im going to have to pay it either that or if i loose the only key left then i will be in even more deep water
on a even worst note ive just realised my vectra c keyring was on the keys gutted as it doesnt half come in useful when i have a drink
i have a trade club card and a vx service card i wonder if i can get it any cheeper

    Thank you

ive just removed all programmed keys with my opcom and laptop using the vehcile security code and then reprogramed the only key left very very easy to work out and stright forward it took about 10 mins once i carmed down as i had to turn the laptop off and restart it to programe it
it means now the lost key is useless they can still get in by using the key but im sure the alarm will go off if they do that but they carnt steal the car which that more what i was concered about as i love my car dont even like it when the wife drives it
