Xbox dead... Red ring of death

VERY VERY ANGRY!

Mine died tonight, midway through a level of Lego: Pirates of the Caribean. Screen suddenly switched off.

Restarted a couple of times, but it crashed during the intro to the game, then at the dashboard. Now it won't come on at all and surprise surprise, 3 red lights.

My xbox is a later model (4 years old I think) and features the components which were supposedly designed to solve the RROD problem.

Now going to be having a serious battle with Microsoft UK.

My cousin lost his xbox for the 2nd time recently due to RROD. It died years ago and was fixed under the extended warranty service (following microsofts admisison that they were faulty). It died again a couple of weeks ago, clearly been "repaired" with the same crap components.

Please tell me your stories, want plenty of ammunition to throw at MS when I demand a replacement for their substandard rubbish.

So ****ed off that they can release hardware that they KNOW is faulty.

You'll be fighting a loosing battle there .... the warranty is 3 years ..your on your 4th ..... just try fixing it yourself .... quite an easy job.

Buy this kit , come with all instruction you need, i have fixed loads of 360s with this type of kit without problems

There is other things you can do to help after it`s working again,

Remove all grills from rear of console ( to increase air flow )
