Least you got the option to attent the course!

    I got caught doing 94 in a 70 and got 3 points and a £60 fine

Copper said 1mph more and i would of been in court asking for my licience back

Your right though 70mph does seen slow in a big car like the vec, but the law is there for a reason

If these proposals to raise the motorway limit to 80mph go ahead you might be a bit happier (along with several million other people).... but until then we all just have to keep to the limit or accept the cost.

To be fair it was even worse in my Senators.... 3.0 24v straight six.... was far too easy to be well over 100 before you realised it

    I miss my Senny.....

If there were more cameras on the motorway snapping everyone at or over 82mph, this country would very soon be out of recession, but a lot more people suffering from poverty.

I sat on the M5 last Sunday from Gloucester to Taunton at 75mph, and i spent most of my time on the inside lane overtaking the odd lorry - i would say that at least 60% were doing way over 80mph.

Was it an average speed cam that got you? I didnt think they had normal speed cams on the motorways?

I feel for you. It's been many years since I was nabbed for speeding. Unfortunately the cameras have none of the judgement of a human bean. If it had been a real copper in a real police car you might have been ignored if you were driving safely in every other respect.

And of course the cameras don't pick up the real menaces - the tailgaters etc... that might not exceed the speed limit but are an accident waiting to happen.

At least in Powys there aren't any fixed speed cameras.
