    Default My new Vectra!

Hello everyone, I am Steve. I am now the proud owner of a Vauxhall Vectra SRI CDTI 1.9 with 150BHP.

I'm going to leave it standard for now apart from the head unit which I am going to change. I have bought a Pioneer AVH-3300BT double DIN unit that I am going to fit ASAP.

    Hi Jayson VXR,

I actually bought the Pioneer 3 months ago and had it installed in my last car. Overall it is a really good unit, bluetooth is clear and works really well (it has the Parrot tech inside). The unit plays DVD's aswell as AVI and DivX from a USB stick/SD/CD so plenty of options. iPod connectivity is really good and charges at the same time, I would recommend to anyone although I would say be careful how much you pay. I have seen them on eBay now for £289, I paid £399!

    Cheers for the info matey

    Does it read MP3's on DVD's ?
Also, what effect did it have on the internal vectra display screen (above the head unit)
Did you lose everything on that?

Welcome to the site. Best colour for the vectra ( same as mine ) Let's just see how long you so keep it standard lol. I'm guessing not for long, as thats what I said when I joined the site. I has no intention of changing anything. It's now got 314 brake upgrade, leather re trim and now in the process of getting the bits together for the twin exhaust from the 2.2 direct. Enjoy

LOL You're probably right! I've never had a car this new before so I'm gonna take my time. It's a bit different when you've got an £800 Vectra, you don't mind drilling holes in the boot to fit a spoiler, etc.

I love the colour, one of the main reasons I picked it!

Yes, it will play MP3's from a DVD (also jpg/bmp picture files and movie files too).

As far as the screen goes, I'm not sure yet as my last car was a Passat. The only experience of this I have is when I fitted my old Alpine into my Vectra B, the screen kept the date where the radio station used to be on the display. Once I fit it, I'll let you know. I'm just waiting for the fascia, aerial adapter and steering controls I have ordered.
