    Angry Failed MOT

Well, the vectra failed its MOT today for the first time.

    - Nearside parking brake has little or no effect (7%)

Turns out the caliper is knackered, which is really sodding annoying because its a new caliper which was only put on 2 months ago.

Now I have to get the garage who fitted it to check it and they can't do that until Tuesday whcih really sucks because the MOT runs out tomorrow! AAAARGHH!!!

Shouldn't have to pay, spoke to the guy and he said it'd be under warranty if it is defective. hopefully it's nothing more sinister.

Not much help now, but, Its best to get the MOT done 1 month before its due. Incase it fails which will give you time to fix it and still be legal.

They will date your renewl at the original expirary date even if you get it done 1 month prior.

Always get mine done between 3-4 weeks before it expires so you have time to play with if owt crops up.

Plus it passed last week for its first time which it had to at vauxhall.

If you get it tested early mate and it fails it cancels out ur old mot certificate and isn't road legal
