    Default Heated seat modification

    Hey guys, sorry if this is in wrong place

    ian highlander inspired this one lol....

    just been out to the car to see whats behind the heated seat blanks, and the pic is below (the other side had the same but a different colour plug)

    can you guys tell me what else id need to make the front seats heated (besides the switchs which have been bought)

    i didnt think id miss this out of my old car but with winter coming fast i am starting to,

    feel free to tell me this is gonna be a complete pain in the rear of a job, cause i had a feeling it would be anyway do you brainboxes need any pics of under the seats to work it out further, cause i will get them first thing tommorow, first day off work in ages!

    I think you may need to get the heated pads from vx. I priced some up the other day and with trade club card total cost for both front seats came in at Just over £200.....So I left only with discs/pads lol.

    Lol daymn, pricy..
    No chance the pads would be in already?
    For some reason it seems to have most things in it for a design, here's to hoping I guess

    Are your seats leather?

    leather seem to be fitted with the heated pads as standard, so it might even be cost/labour effecive to buy a leather interior rather than buy the parts and fit them yourself. There have been some good deals on leather seats in the past few months.

    wow, first time i have heard of cloth seats being heated! Is that a mainland Europe thing?

    Especially a Nordic thing but also possible in the rest of the "mainland EU"

    Just a note when buying the pads.. remember to get the correct ones there are for Leather seats, and for cloth seats (dont know difference.. but probaly how much they heat)

    Not to confuse things but they are half leather haha
    anyway I could check the pads are in or not?

    i guess if you have the switches already, plug them in, turn the dial and see what happens...
