    Default ebooks converting?

    just got a kindle and have 1000s of ebooks in different formats i need to get them all to mobi format ,anyone any ideas how to do loads at once instead of 1 at a time ,i'm using calibre to convert at the moment
    hope this is in the right bit

    Calibre will batch convert for you. I did all my kindle books from mobi to epub in one go using it.

    all my books are on disk in various format.i've had a look at calibre and can't see how to batch convert them from disc,i'm not great on a pc so any help appreciated

    Might have to copy the books from the disk to your hard disk.. it will also speed up the process doing it this way

    To batch convert:


    • Load the books into Calibre
    • Select all the books you want to convert - does not matter if they are in different formats. (Ctrl+A for all)
    • Right click on selected books
    • Select convert/bulk convert.
    • Choose the format in you want to convert to in the top right corner (leave all the settings as default if i was you)
    • Click ok to start the process

    I have just tested it and did a convert from epub to mobi and then back again.

    cheers m8 didn't know about the ctrl+a that was what stopped me ,have now converted about 200

    Aidi beat me toi it. Calibre is about the best all rounder for eBooks, enjoy!
