    Default advice need please

hope somebody can answer this question for me, just got my car back from the insurance and have started to remove damaged bits from front end and i just wondered what people would do if the chassis leg thats behind the wing is damaged.

The damage is only at the end of it where the slam panel bolts to it, it looks a bit squashed but the rest of the chassis leg is fine.

Is it worth fixing or should i just cut my losses?

not a hard fix really any compentant bodyshop /home vehicle repairer who can weld can do it although vectras chassis legs are boron steel (read hard as ****) and need to be mig brazed (all panels on the vectra should be mig brazed too) have a look in the back of the autotrader for mobile jigging services and they might be able to pull it iut so you only need to fit the chassis end plate?

ive removed a tunnel section from the leg behind the wing, the top of the wing bolts into it, the remaing piece appears in tact it just the piece ive removed thats damaged, so gonna go a scrap yard and get another section, hopefully when i get it welded back on and the new slam panel it will all line up

ah right the wing support yeah thats an easy replace too - still needs to be mig brazed back on though (thatcham regulation, if car is just normal mig welded and theres an accident resulting in a fatality an its found out the repair was done incorrectly - the repairer is liable!!!) but yeah use lots of small screws to get it all lined up first check with new wing front panel lights and bonnet back on too! braze away!!
