Default Please help, White Smoke And Water?

Can I have some advice on this....

Looked at a car with a mate yesterday, A 1.8 (z18xe) Vectra, when the car was started from cold there was a decent amount of pure white smoke from the exhaust with no shortage of water comming from the exhaust.

When the car was up running hot the smoke disappeared however there was sill water visible from the tail pipe.

Is this to be concerned about of is it just condensation???

    Thanks,

    Could just be condensation.
But could also be head gasket.

Give it a good run and keep an eye on the temp guage.

If there's water / white smoke after the run, or temp is too high, it's the head gasket.

Take the oil filler cap off and check for a mayonaise like stuff on the cap as that points to Head Gasket to, a little bit can be down to the car always running cold/ little use but that is more in the winter

Couldnt say ive ever noticed water coming out my 1.8's tail pipe. As above check filler cap and expansion tank. Coolant should be a nice peachy orangy pink colour.
