    Default Sport Switch / ESP

    Afternoon people,

Couple of questions im hoping somebody can help me out with,

Bought a 2006 1.9CDTI 150 elite in august and it has sport button and button for what i think is a rear window blind on the centre console.

The LED on the sport button doesnt work and nothing seems to happen when it is pressed. No traction control / ESP light shows up on the dash when ignition is switched on, leading me to think it doesnt have it, but didnt the sport button only come on the car if ESP was selected as an extra?

It has some other extras like full parking sensors and sunroof etc so that could have been selected as an extra too. But as it doesnt seem to work so could it be a fuse or is it that the switch is there but doesn't do anything.

The car has been owned by 1 company since new and doesnt appear to have been modified at all so guessing they havent just added the switches.

The rear window blind button is even more confusing, as i dont think the hatch ever came with with electric rear blind did it?

    Cheers for any input guys.

    Danny

Quite often people stick the switches in just to make the dash look more populated. I've just ordered the traction control and sport switches for exactly that reason knowing full well that the sport button wont work and the traction control one probably wont.

You could have it do something else with a few wires.

Pictures attached of buttons and dash showing no traction control light with ignition on.

As i said i know it is possible they could have added switches but seemed unlikely with it being a company owner.

    Cheers

the sport button is for the cdc (continuous damping control) which stiffens
the suspension but looking at your instruments then it appears you dont
even have traction control in which the tc switch would normally go were
ya eleccy rear blind switch is so i guess them switches are just for show m8
    and rather having blanks there.

if you remove the switches and see if the plugs are even there
