    Default The Health Lottery.......

    Anyone gonna be doing it?

Its seems better than the 'National Lottery' and the prizes seem to be shared out more in a fair way I believe.

I like the idea that some of the money will go towards health and charities etc.

    Whats ya thoughts on it?

Just another way of taxing us all .Seems as if everyone has forgotten that the original lottery was supposed to have been set up to benefit the national health service .
The only ones who appear to have benefited are camelot and the GVT.

it annoys me that the proper lottery doesnt fund the nhs tbh. the problem with this one is the tickets are still £1 but the prizes are a lot smaller.

does anyone know the odds of winning in this version as opposed to the national lottery

Dont think its going too last long or only be avalable in small independent shops as this is not done by camelot so there going barmy about it and some big shops are stopping doing it, and before someone says they cant do that well they can remove your terminal from your shop so you will loose business so they can.

The Health lottery DOES NOT fund the NHS, its run/owned by Richard Desmond the guy that owns OK magazine, channel5 and other stuff. Its to make money for him and money for good causes.

EG- People who care for sick relatives.

The National lottery gives 28p in every £1 to good causes and pays 20p in every £1 in prizes.

dont think most of the things that the national lottery give money to can be classed as good causes

Camelot is not responsible for the allocation or distribution of lottery funds.

In the period up to March 2012, around 28% of total National Lottery revenue is expected to go to the Good Causes. In the last year this was distributed as follows:
    • Health, Education, Environment, and charitable causes 50%
    • Sports 16.67%
    • Arts 16.67%
    • Heritage 16.67%.
this isnt good causes , the nhs is a good cause , cancer research is a good cause etc etc

would have been better if richard branson had won the contract to run the lottery
