Angry HELP - Ready to trade this scrapper in

Just had about as much as I can take from my car, on the verge of cleaning it up today and trading it in first thing tomorrow.

Had the car for just over a month now and as I explained on a previous thread, I am getting serious vibration through the car at any speed over 50mph. The steering wheel goes nuts, and the whole car vibrates.

Anyway, had it in the garage yesterday, had both front tyres replaced, all 4 wheels balanced and the tracking done, all in £270. So I thought that the vibration problem would be solved.

Was it heck, I drove the car down the city bypass and at just over 50mph it starts dancing all over the place. Quick U turn, back to the garage and lost it at the manager. They took all 4 wheels off, balanced them again in front of me, also showed me a balanced wheel (theirs) on the machine to prove it was working, switched the new tyres to the back, they even checked that the brake dics were not warped.

    Guess what no improvement.

This is really doing my head in, spend just over £10k on a car and it is like driving a bag of sh&t.

The only other clue I have, it that it is worse if I have a passenger and there is always a vibration coming from the front passenger side at any speed.

Help me out guys, any ideas ? Suspension fault ? Track rod end ?
I,m no mechanic and at my wits end now.

The car has done 20k and is 18 months old

i`m absolute speechless m8,really not sure wot u can do,has the dealer
checked the front and rear suspension fully, tracking and steering as i do
know that when i worked at the dealer 1 customers vectra came in
for the very similar problem and they found out that the toe in/out or
the camber was miles out and the dealer spent hours on it and also
replaced all tyres, but then has the car had a smash at some point as
you just dont know, hope you get it sorted m8 but other than that think
if that happened to mine then i`ll be got shut of straight away as i really
cant be bothered with that sort of problems,i have always said that
once the suspension has been messed around with then i have no
confidence in the car,i have just had me springs replaced with lowered
ones and i`m dreading already wot afects they will bring.

anyway hope you get it sorted m8

The car was fine for the first two weeks and then it started going all wierd.

Had it at the dealers and they could not find any faults, even had the mechanic out for a drive in it and he experienced the vibration, but put it down to an out of balance wheel.

To be honest I don't think they checked out the suspension etc very well. So the fault could still be there

the problem as i`m very sure hes solved this on a few cars previously so i`ll

Thanks for that, until then I will put the trade in on hold

Still baffled thought as to the fault. Car was running fine until I took the wheels off to paint the calipers, I also de-rusted and painted the brake hubs with smooth hamerite.

I was careful not to get any paint on the hub face (where the bolts are), surely taking the wheels off the hubs (they have been on there since day one) would not upset the running of the car and cause the vibration.

My only other thought was to take the wheels back off and make sure the hub facings are smooth, no rust or paint flakes on them and also check the inside face of the alloys before putting them back on. Just a thought.
