Just had about as much as I can take from my car, on the verge of cleaning it up today and trading it in first thing tomorrow.
Had the car for just over a month now and as I explained on a previous thread, I am getting serious vibration through the car at any speed over 50mph. The steering wheel goes nuts, and the whole car vibrates.
Anyway, had it in the garage yesterday, had both front tyres replaced, all 4 wheels balanced and the tracking done, all in £270. So I thought that the vibration problem would be solved.
Was it heck, I drove the car down the city bypass and at just over 50mph it starts dancing all over the place. Quick U turn, back to the garage and lost it at the manager. They took all 4 wheels off, balanced them again in front of me, also showed me a balanced wheel (theirs) on the machine to prove it was working, switched the new tyres to the back, they even checked that the brake dics were not warped.
Guess what no improvement.
This is really doing my head in, spend just over £10k on a car and it is like driving a bag of sh&t.
The only other clue I have, it that it is worse if I have a passenger and there is always a vibration coming from the front passenger side at any speed.
Help me out guys, any ideas ? Suspension fault ? Track rod end ?
I,m no mechanic and at my wits end now.
The car has done 20k and is 18 months old
