    Default Engine Temperature

Question..... how important is it to get the right engine temperature when driving like a looney !!!

Me and my mates were talking down the pub tonight and what I mean is... When you are doing 1/4 runs at Santa Pod in this weather... how are you going to ensure the engine is at the right temperature before your turn/run ???

All I ever see is a lot of waiting around in the ques, surely the engine will overheat and the fan will kick in, or it'll get too cold ??.....

I know for certain my remap doesnt like a cold engine and runs very slow when cold... when its at full temperature it flies... so how can I get to full temperature before my turn/run ?????

take it for a fly up and down the side roads to the main queue mate...plenty of chance to get the temprature up to 'working' levels.

Use your secret menu mate for the water temp accurately.

Oil temperature is up to normal temperature normally 5 minutes after water in my experience.

    Oil is more important.

85 to 90 oC is about right Steve, yes if you keep the ngine running while your lining up, it will get hotter, but if the cooling system is working as it should you should never see any problems.
