    Default 2.0L DTI Power loss

Hi all, this is my first post.

I have had the car (2004 2L DTI) for 7 months now covered 7000 miles now 84,000 on clock..all been fine up to a few weeks back, when the spanner light came on and went into safe mode. Took to local garage he replaced the thick pipe (split) that goes to the turbo. He also told me that error code p0100 Mass or volume air flow sensor may need replacing. When driving at low revs everything seems fine, when I give it more revs the engine revs fine, but the power takes ages to catch up (does this more when engine is up to temp) (loss of power)
I have changed the Mass air sensor and still the same problem, not getting any warning lights coming on ?

Hope someone can help before insanity kicks in.

check all your vacuum hose connection,s for splits or signs of perishing.also check all your other intercooler pipes for sign,s of splits , get a friend to rev the engine for you and listen for the sound of air escaping or signs of oil escapeing from the pipes
Failing that give your boost sensor a clean with some carburettor cleaner

Boost sensor is the right hand one of the two on the inlet manifold , the one closest to the hose

Black, purchased from a garage in Doncaster with full service history, owned by someone local before me.

UPDATE Took the boost sensor off and cleaned with carburettor cleaner, while I was at it took the EGR valve off too and cleaned it.
Just took it for a spin ....... revved round to 4,500 but still lacking power....when driving at higher revs it drives as though the clutch is slipping (not under normal driving) but I don't think it's the clutch.
I am lost......not in the car by the way.....lost on what to do next.
