    Default inovit sonic alloys tyre help

    hi
    I brought the missus some new wheels and tyres, had the tyres fitted at the garage but they dont look they fit the rims right
    the rims are 18x8J
    the tyres are neuton 225/40/18 xl's

    heres a pic to show gap between rim and tyre




    are these tyres ok, the garage didnt say anything when they were fitted?

    thats just tyres with alloy rim protectors they are the correct size for a vectra 225/40

    225/45/18 is the correct size mate, this size keeps your speedo right. I have them fitted onto my car also with the 8j width.

    hi mate this is for her golf gd tdi 130bhp think standard wheels are 195/65/15

    Ah right, I have 18" wheels on my siggy which are 8J so the tyre should be the same size fitting. It should not make any difference. The size you got is correct for the speedo. 230 or 235 would look better but throw your speedo out by .1mph at 60.. LOOK HERE

    well this is a pic from the guy i brought them off and he had falken 225/40/18 he said either its because its a different brand or there not fitted right?
