Default "Some Idiot". Cut me up and hit my mirror.

Comming off a round about today I got clipped by some idiot in the outside lane. (I wanted the second exit to go straight on). The first exit is a left turn. The second exit goes straight onto a mini round about this exit is splits into two lanes, both are marked with BIG arrows one for a left only and one for straight on. I wanted to go straight on so was in the correct RHS lane to do so. when this 56 plate BMW came from the left turn only lane and cut me up hitting my passenger wing mirror with his driver side mirror. After a blast on my horn and some sharp braking we both stopped almost touching bumpers. My car pointing straight and in lane, his at an angle pointing into my lane. Windows were wound down and he started to say in a foreign accent I was in the wrong. I pointed to the BIG white arrows just in front of our cars and told him he was in the wrong lane for going straight on. I told him to pull over into the lay-by just up the road. I wanted to check for any damage as our cars came into contact. Oh yeah I did call him an "idiot".

Anyway he moved off and I followed. I indicate to pull into the lay-by and he just drives off. I pull over check out my car put my mirror straight and find no other damage. While checking the car over someone in a red vec pulled over got out and asked if there was any damage. He then said that the BMW was in the wrong lane. As there was no damage I thanked the vec driver and went on my way. I had my 7 year old daughter in the back, who was rather shaken by the rants of the bmw driver.
Is him driving off not leaving the scene. Is there anything I can do. I only have the first part of the reg.

shame you didn't get all his reg, you could have reported him for leaving the scene of an accident, even if it is a wing mirror, you weren't to know that till you pulled over.

Failing to stop at the scene of an accident = 5 penalty points matey...shame you didn't get his reg number...

Hope it can be t-cut out though, had a similar incident when I was travelling in a convoy with 4 freinds' cars along the A12 at Harold Hill roundabout (for the A127), driver in a white transit cut into my lane and I felt a bit of a push...1 of my freinds drew alongside to check for damag and the van driver actually scuffed my bumper and wing mirror...we chased the driver down for a mile and then boxed him in...and got funds for the paintwork repairs accordingly. Muppet.

Far too much of this going on lately, I've had it again tpday going up the rescue kennels, some pillock in an Astra.
Report it, maybe the police can fins a CCTV, or even ID from the partial reg.

The missus says I should report it to the police.

As I have calmed down now and there’s no damage and no one got hurt I can’t really see the point. The chances of catching him are very slim. I was fuming at the time……… It was a Grey Blue BMW reg NL56 *** Wallsend area.
