    Default Issue with washer jets...

I have an '04 2.2 SRi and when I pull the right stick back to spray water on the windcreen, the wipers come on and water sprays on the rear screen. When I push it forward the rear wiper comes on and water sprays on the windscreen

I believe the previous owner had a new washer bottle fitted, so is it something simple like they've connected the pipes up to the wrong holes on the washer bottle?

    It's doing my head in.

    That's what I'm hoping for.

Strange thing is they needed it done for the MOT. Doesn't look like the garage tested it after fitting a new washer bottle.

    Simple fix...

the Washer pump has the feed pipes connected round the rong way...

To get at this you dont need to take the bumper off or anything. Just jack the car up at the passenger front side and secure on an axel stand. Get under the bumper at the front by the light... You will see the base of the white washer bottle. at the back of this is the washer pump. It will have two pipes linked into it. Keeping the pump where it is take the pipes off and swap them arround... JOB done... car fixed...

This guide shows the part and how to get at it...

Its the same as far as I know on the facelift and pre facelift models
