chrome window strips ?? ideas

hi everyone im not sure if its just my vectra or if others have had the same problem but my chrome window strips have stain marks all over them if anyone has had the same problem have you repaired them or covered them with something ? if so what because they let the car down im tempted to cover them black to match the black car so any ideas would be great thanks

yes i thave this prob dave only had my motor 2 weeks gave her a good clean and polish put yes guess what the the chrome looking bling trim, like u said looks crap i tried most things didnt wanna come off so i was thinking takeing them off rubing down and spraying them. no i dont help ya but i have the same prob

I actually used Peek Metal Polish on mine, and they came up just grand. Also works on front V grill and boot strip.

and yours were stained mate ? and had it changed a weird colour ? where did you get the stuff from ? thanks mate

yeps like rain markes stanined in but could not remove them

if it's like my chrome trims ,

then the milky staining is inside the plastic chrome trim ,

i think it's caused by rain water getting in .

so polishing does not work .

there realy expensive well over the £100 mark i might try covering them

might take mine off rub down and spray black. as im going for the grill to go black but keept standerd and then the next mod is a set of 20's in black
