Default Any info on astra 1.9cdti 150's needed!

    Hey guys,

Just wondering if anyone has any info on astra's im looking at a 1.9cdti 150. I take these will suffer the same issues as the vectra swirl flaps/manifold etc? Does anyone have any advice on what to look for?

    Much appreciated guys

a mate of mines had a 15o sporthatch from 2007 ( bought new) he'd had a gearbox fail and 3 EGR's but other than that its been fairly reliable ! make sure its had a cambelt and waterpump

The newer the better and like the vectra post 08's had the modified swirl bar to avoid this breaking off..
Bluddy brilliant cars with this engine and i honestly would have one in a flash if i could manage with less room...

Well went to see it and was taken to an astra life i said no thats not what i was asking for when i phoned, 10 mins later im told the one i enquired about was'nt yet it stock (waiting on the customers new car to arrive). Went and had a look at a well priced 58 plate jetta and walked away before it had been unlocked it had been through the wars bumps and scrapes and laquer missing fron next to a bumper.

There really is a lack of cars out there for sale that have been looked after or even treated with some respect.

I had a gander around the phoenix a few weeks ago and i totally agree that the majority of the cars on sale are utter crap. I'm currently in Inverness so i may go along for a look to see if the standard of cars are any better up here. The jettas are cool cars!

    VXR going?

The jettas seem to be the most reasonably priced VW's and there nice motors. Yeah the standard of cars all around the phoenix poor and there all holding no stock apart from AC Ford who seem to be the only one going and bringing in cars.

Yeah change in circumstances earning less money and want to get my own place and need to put my sensible head on mate. The money im spending on fuel is all that annoys me love the car to bits.

Seriously cool cars imo, and major styling routes available on them! Good luck with the sale of the vxr, stunning car but mental to run for normal punters..!
