    Default hand brake travel

    friend of mine with 57 plate sri is complaing of to much hand brake travel..so i said we would strip rear brakes check pads good clean grease sliders wind pistons back in build back up start car pump brake pedal up with the hand brake off should this then automatically set hand brake travel..i have read the brilliant HOW 2 on replacing rear pads....i would appreciate your expert views you lot have never let me down yet....thanks in advance forum

    if that doesnt work adjust the cable nut under the arm rest. i believe the rear ash try pulls out to give access to it

    I tried to have mine done and was told they sort themselves out and never to try and adjust them.
