    Default DMF replacement soon

Well, went out in the car today for the first time in a long time and aswell as the usual rattling when pressing the clutch there is now a bit of a squeek so it looks like a replacement is on the cards....... delights!

I've just sent an enquiry off to CJM in Leeds for a price on a solid flywheel conversion so waiting on that as thisd is really the route I want to go down

    BUT

People who have replaced there's with new DMF's, what sort of figures are flying around? I've done a bit of research now and it looks to be anywhere between £550 to £700 unless you go to the dealers which I won't be doing.

Can anyone suggest a garage in the Yorkshire area (ideally West) who have had their DMF's replaced and they are very happy with work etc.

    Cheers

I get a squeak when depressing clutch sometimes, does it mean my DMF is on it's way out?

mine has been rattling from 68k and is now on 83k but has developed this squeak now so I'm sure its on its last legs.

It's always on my mind now too so would rather just get it done. I'm wanting a remap too so this really needs to be done first.

my dmf is rattling so I'm driving sympathetically (maybe just pathetically!) to try to make it last as long as poss. Anyone on here taken one to the limit? What is the limit, catastrophic failure? How far can we push 'em. and when do we stop?
