put a flywheel, clutch and egr valve on a vectra on saturday, on the way home from garage it made a huge bang coming up a hill and lost alot of power, i nursed it home and went out to start it there now and it is refusing to start, have no access to a code reader tonight, any ideas?

Is it turning over but just not starting? I don't want to put you down, but is it possible you haven't fitted something properly? I'd guess the dmf

Possible flywheel collapsing would result in starting difficulties I'd imagine but as for loosing power, well that may be another issue.

When you crank it do the belts turn?

What happens if you disconnect the boost sensor? When a sensor is disconnected the engine will run on a limited map.

im just wondering if the wiring loom has either been trapped or strethed and damaged a wire, how did you support the engine whilst box was out?
