Question from a mate about his car

My mate has a 2004(full canbus) 1.9cdti SRI and has yellow brake calipers.The guy who he brought it off brought the car new and said they came that colour.

Im sure i read somewhere that the SRI's that came with yellow calipers were unrestricted?

Is it true of am i going crazy in my old age?

I would say someone just painted them that colour mate. The only coloured performance coloured calipers VX did were the blue ones on the vxr models.

Technically, I've actually LOST performance by upgrading the front and rear brakes as they're so much heavier than the old ones. Plus, they have a few layers of paint on them too.

Still, better than brake fade...
