    Angry 1.9cdti(150) turbo

    on friday took the inter cooler pipe off the one that goes into the inlet manifold and there was quiet a bit of oil inside it so priced a new one up from a local garage and its is going to cost £850 fitted good jod i got extended warranty on my car go to phone the warranty company up on monday and try to get the work authorised.

    Oil is naturally in that pipe, It gets sucked up from the oil separator directly into the inlet system prior to the turbo, If you have swarf or masses of oil along with sump levels dropping then it could be the turbo seals, I would vent to atmos for a while especially on long fast journeys to suck out all the oil that gathers in the intercooler then have another look, It does take a while to clean out as i do this periodically myself to do the same.

    I doubt they will replace unless your swirl valves go as the manifold being choked with carbon is just how they have designed it to work..

    I second the wizard, I'm venting mine to atmos right after my MOT

    If it helps, the venting system does not come into the mot so venting to atmos is fine all year round if you wish.
