Default AG HD or Zaino Z8 ?

    Hi,

thinking of buying AG HD (or even EGP ?) or Zaino Z8 before winter sets in, any views on the above wax/sealants ?, looking for easy application & buff & the Zaino certainly looks easy to use!

Or something which does a very good job like the award winning collonite 476S at a fraction of the price Only downside is ive heard its not as easy to work with.

you say you want to use z8 . are you going to use the other zaino products too. i ask as i have had the zaino on my car for about 8 months now and with just reg washing it still looks good. as for the colly ive used 915 and find you have to put it on very thinly ( as with all products ) and it will buff off easy . will also last through the winter . im in the middle off doing the whole winter prep on my sons audi a3 ,so will be comparing the colly against the zaino. khalid

I have never used Z8 but I was under the impression it was similar to a QD, would you not need to use a wax or sealent underneath it?

Z8 is only a gloss sealent similar to CG blacklight, although very good i would not use it purely as a last stage protection for a winter coat .
Best as others have said use the full body waxes like collinite 915 for your last stage protection.

    Thanks for the replies!
Byebye - I dont think there is much price difference ?
Khalid - will be interesting to hear your thoughts on the comparison
Bobs - do you mean the sealants are not as long-lasting ?

any thoughts on AG HD ?

I use AG HD wax and swear by it. Don't buy it at Halfords, go through ebay or Amazon to get it for around £25. Easy on easy off, great finish, long lasting.

Collonite is generally around £15 and AG HD usually £25-30.

Sealants are great for warmer climes thats why they are so popular in the usa but who wants to be spending time in the middle of winter continually applying protection Collinite 915 is rated for upto 3-4 months which suits me fine .
so this is what i normally do sealents in the summer months and waxes for the winter time . i usually do my winter coat protection around mid to end of october , that would then normally see me through to end of feb with just a top up if the weather has been severe .
