    Default 215 50 to 225 45 17.

im looking to to the tyre change as ive got some nast accelera xl boots all round and in the wet its just damn scary.

Im looking to fit some falken 192s with the 225 for the wider grip.
is the ride quality that different? the 215 are the same price but the 225 give that edge on grip!
ive heared good things about these tyres.....

    any feedback would be good.

cool, it may help in the snow! did you go for the 225 on the summer wheels and the 215 on the winter?

or should i just stick to the 215 size?

I will use nothing but the Falken 912 Ziex as they are a superb tyre for the price. I am running the 225/45/17 size and the tyre only comes in XL form so the ride is a little harder but not uncomfortable and the xl is handy for me as I tow a Caravan. Last Winter when we had the snow I never struggled to get grip compared to the Goodyear F1's I once hand .

Andy, I'm looking at the Falkens for my next tyre and also tow a caravan. I notice you mention the tyre in XL form, what's that?

    XL - Extra Load.

In other words a stiffer side wall.

Generally fitted to cars with heavy engines - diesels.
