Default Something for everyone to check before winter comes along!

Check your drain hole below the pollen filter is free from blockage and clean it out, this will save you flooding the passengers footwell and having blower problems.

You might aswell change the pollen filter while your there these are cheap and take 30 seconds to replace and help no end with demisting the windows and keeping them clear easier.

If even 1 person reads this and checks theres and finds it blocked im happy to have helped

No more blocked drain hole for me, I removed the rubber. Its designed to trap crud.

Theres a flap on the scuttle panel below the windscreen on the passenger side, open the bonnet then lift that open. You will then see the paper filter thats the pollen filter if its dirty or moist change it. Below that you will see lots of dirt and grime and if you put your hand in you will see/feel a big rubber drain, get some kitchen roll in there and clean that all up. I then used a hot soapy cloth to thoroughly clean the rubber.

If the rubber is dirty or full of crud it will eventually start flooding the interior of the car.

When you go to open the bonnet is there play in the handle when you pull it?

If so there is a risk you will try and open the bonnet one day and it wont open. Where the release cable runs along the top of the front panel on the engine bay there is a nut which you can loosen - take up the slack on the cable and then re-tighten and you have a nice catch with no play in it and no risk of the bonnet not opening.
