Wiper problem

Not sure if this is in the right section - feel free to move if needs be:

Wipers paying up but wierdly:

When I get in car wipers will only work on fast setting. When I turn fast setting off they will work normally for a minute or two - I can wash screen etc. But then they'll go again and to get any action I have to move to full speed.

This all started suddenly on Friday morning - all fine until then.

Any suggestions?

Dodgy motor

had a similar problem not long after getting the car, VX said it was the motor which has the built in control module for it.. so replaced and since havnt had any problems.. maybe a good place to start!

are they easy to fit if I can get one myself? And are they the same for all vectras?

I had a problem with my wipers a few weeks back and managed to resolve the issue... problem wasn't with the motor or the wiper linkage but I had already bought and put the new parts on so wasn't able to return them... reason i say this is because I have now got a fully working second hand motor so feel free to make me an offer and i'm more than happy to send the motor to you?
