Default 300 mile round trip today to pick these up...

    ...and boy am I happy

I've had my heart set on a set of half leather signum seats for ages now (since seeing it was possible to fit them to an estate) until I saw the full leather SRi seats in someone elses car, been hunting for both ever since but hoping to find the SRi full leather really and lucked out last week.

£370 and a 300 mile round trip to Stoke On Trent later

The set I got is for a hatch, so some of the rear bits (door cards) wont fit at all, and some of the seat parts will need some serious work to make fit, but the fronts are the main part I wanted and those all fit. Once I've worked out what I can and can't modify to fit, I'll sell any bits that I don't use and hunt for bits I need.

Only thing this set didn't come with is the arm rest, so I need to find myself a charcoal black leather arm rest when I get time.

Already fitted front heated seat switches thanks to Aidi and got the rears and panel for them on order from my local dealer, should arrive Tuesday.

Thanks to John in Stoke (who's son is apparently a member here).

I'm told one part fits perfectly and the others do with a lot of work. I may just skin them and re-skin my rear seats with them. I know the rear door cards are very slightly shorter so won't fit, but will see how far I get with it before worrying too much as I say, it's the fronts I was really after more than anything and it's easier to get rear leather for the estate than front leather SRi seats so if need be I'll sell the rear and buy different ones

To be honest I got quite desperate and started emailing people on Ebay that were selling cars and had these style seats fitted to see if they'd sell them seperately. Had one guy say yes, but he wanted £600 for them plus my seats (it was an estate). I wasn't paying that much for them no matter what, but they are out there, it took me a while to find them, but not as long as you'd think, just be patient and keep looking.

Don't blame you, got the 19" diamond cut anthracite's on mine and they look awesome (although warning, don't kerb them, it's a costly re-furb as the diamond cut ones have to be re-faced on a lathe, mine are due to be done in a couple of months or so once I've got a bit of cash spare after a couple of incidents with kerbs in Cambridge lol)

Only downside of these new seats, they've obviously been in a car with a smoker and they stink of stale smoke, gonna take ages to get rid of that smell and might have to strip them down just to get the smell out of them.

Oh, I might be able to help there.

I do a bit of leather work (Nothing Kinky!!) and know of a few tricks to help the smell to go quicker.

Might be best to do it before you fit them! PM me and I can tell you all!!

I'm afraid to say, thats almost the amount i paid for full set... But, they were litereally just down the road from me, and i managed to view them prior to buying and they were in pristine condition.

Yeah i know it was an expensive buy, but some of the best money spent on upgrades for my Vec C.

You got a real bargin with yours Ian...
