    by accident I found out that you can push the big light switch
    anyone any idea why???

    It's to help you release the light control unit,should you need to.

    As Pioneer says: You push it in then turn it to the right and releases it from the dashboard.

    Yep, headlights off, push dial in, whilst pushing in turn to sidelights position and the switch unit will probably then shoot backwards. Grab the dial and pull forwards to remove the unit. That reveals the last Torx screw that you need to remove to take out the trim under the steering wheel.

    Want to what?, remove the trim under the steering wheel?

    Well, so far..... wire in a GPS cradle and PDA cradle and run the wiring and tubing for my boost gauge.

    You also need to remove that trim to then remove the centre console surround (the bit to the left of your feet) - again, to run wires etc. for different mods.

    As an update for those with Automatic lighting you should ensure the light switch is set to 'Auto' before pushing in and turning about half a setting (ie half way to Off) to the right.
