    Default facelift conversion help please

i currently have a 2005 2.0 dti and i am starting to gather up the parts to do a facelift conversion. i have currently got the bumper and two wings and know that i will also need the headlights and bonnet. i thought i would trial fit the two wings and bumper last night just to check the fit as i had read about people talking about cross member needing changed 2. when i went to put these on last night the bumper wouldn't go on properly due to the big metal frame behind it (i think its called the cross member). this is really confusing me between th slam panel and cross member. i have read that there is a way of modifying the parts so that don't need replaced but i would rather just buy the parts so it goes straight on. does anybody have know a link for a how to or know if its the slam panel or cross member i need and have pictures of what these look like as it is baffling me.

    all help much appreciated

the renforcer bar behind the bumper needs changing and the crush cans that the renforcer bolts to,the slam panel is the part that the bonnet closes onto and can be used

i am sure you are absolutely ragin. it seems like its a lot more work than i had expected but probs still worth it. is it not just the crash bar that distorts the bumper which can be solved by changing it?
