    Default Tracking issues

Back in the summer I took my car to a local (and reputable) tyre/tracking place to have the tracking checked due to seeing some uneven wear on the Fromt tyres and also my Steering Wheel was slightly wonky, got to be the tracking needs a tweak I thought! So he sticks all the bits on the wheels, does his stuff and tells me the tracking's fine and it must just be the design of the tyre causing uneven wear......Hmmmm..OK I thought, he knows what he's doing.....

So today I go to a different place for tyres because the MOT's coming up. Drive the car in and the kid says to me - 'You need to get the tracking checked on this, the inside of this tyre is much worse than the rest of it' - So we get all 4 tyres changed, they then carry out what appears to be exactly the same measurement procedure as the place I took it to in the summer did, but then get to making adjustments.

Anyways I pay up, drive off and guess what? My steering wheel is now straight!

The moral of the story - YOU drive your car every day - if you think something is wrong, it probably is!

the problem is mate alot of people dont get trained properly on how certain equipment works and with tracking gauges if you dont put them on exactly right and know what your looking at its very easy to mess it up of not spot a problem, in the vx main dealer im in i would only trust 3 of the techs to touch my tracking the rest aint got a danny
